Pioneer Old Fashioned

60ml Moonlight Creek ‘Pioneer’ Single Malt Whisky
7.5ml Vanilla Demerara Syrup (2:1)
2 Dashes Orange Bitters

Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well chilled.
Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
Garnish with an orange twist.

Vanilla Demerara Syrup (2:1)
200g Demerara Sugar
100ml Hot Water
1 Vanilla Bean, split in half and scrape into pot.
Combine sugar and water and stir until dissolved. Add the split vanilla bean and allow to infuse while cooling. Strain.
