Little Biddy Gin – Cask Aged (Port) rests in a rich and flavourful oak cask emerging a rich and autumnal gold.

Created in honour of Reefton legend Little Biddy, a gin-toting, 4 foot tall gold prospector.  Our search for native botanicals takes us deep into the same West Coast rainforest where Biddy once fossicked for gold, to craft a uniquely New Zealand selection of small batch distilled gins with attitude.

Infused with notes of rich, spiced fruit cake and maple, complimented by citrus and finished with warming clove and cinnamon, we have elevated the native flavours that our botanicals have granted this gin, taking the Little Biddy Gin experience to the loftiest heights of the West Coast rainforest.

Serving Suggestion: Neat or over a large ice cube in your favourite glass.

Presented in an elegant, premium presentation box, ideal for gifting.

Limited to 343 bottles

Botanicals

Toatoa

Phyllocladus alpinus also known as mountain celery pine is an inhabitant of Reefton’s lowland to sub-alpine rainforest.

This native plant delivers a vibrant resinous tannic character to our Little Biddy Gin range crushing leaves between your fingers releases subtle citrus elements that are quickly followed by rich, fresh pine resin notes.

Horopito

Pseudowintera colorata grows freely in the rainforest surrounding our distillery. Horopito is also known as the New Zealand pepper tree because its leaves have a hot peppery taste.

Horopito combines with old world spices to provide our Little Biddy Gin with a complex spicy sweet aromatic finish.

Tarata

Pittosporum eugenioides also known as native Lemonwood, gives a bright palate of citrus to our Little Biddy Gin range.

Familiar and yet completely new, distilled Tarata adds a fleeting green, woody, floral brightness that lingers.

Rimu

Dacrydium cupressinum grows in the ancient rainforest surrounding our distillery and is just one of the thirteen botanicals in our Little Biddy Gin range.

We only use fresh Rimu which adds to the strong pine resin note that characterises our Little Biddy Gin range.

Douglas fir

Pseudotsuga menziesii adds a strong pine resin note to our Little Biddy Gin - Classic

Although not a native to NZ, we include Douglas fir in our Little Biddy Gin range as a nod to the early settlers who like this majestic tree put down their roots here on the West Coast.
